Arlene – I was introduced to DAWIL Law Academy by a colleague and friend in the year 2012 and completed by LLB in 2017.
My experience at DAWIL was wonderful. It was the best school experience I ever had due largely to the Principal and General Manager of the school Mr. Dave Williams.
Mr. Williams taught me for the first year of my program. I remember clearly the subjects were Contract Law, Common Law Reasoning and Institution, Public Law and Criminal Law, which he taught with passion and skill making learning enjoyable by his methods. I consider Mr. Williams to be the best teacher in the entire world, which he earned by his dedication to the teaching profession. Often time I found myself calling Mr. Williams days and nights for his assistance to understanding legal terms and for his assistance with the interpretation of laws and he was always available to assist.
The school environment was very conducive to learning. Class sizes were as such that getting individual attention from my tutors complemented the learning environment. Assignments were given on a regular basis and corrected on a timely basis with relevant comments that assisted me.
The first year of the program set the tone for the next three years that followed. During those years I had a lot of challenges and because it was such a pleasant experience, although the second and third years were much more challenging, it propelled me to go on to the end as well as increase my desire to learn and explore the law for myself.
The school’s Administrator, Ms. Carol Cave was also instrumental with her words of encouragement and advice.
Thank you DAWIL Law Academy for a wonderful learning experience and continue to make positive contribution to the lives of each students thereby, shaping the quality of lawyers in society.

Teneille – I can vividly remember that one of my childhood dreams was to become a lawyer. However, my progression into the education system did not automatically lead me to that destination. In 2020, after intimate introspection, I accepted that while I am professionally comfortable, I am not excited, and decided to revisit my childhood dream.
Initially, the decision seemed quite easy, as I felt that the main concern would be finances. However, after enrolling to pursue my studies with Dawill, I was enlightened by the many factors that I did not adequately consider, more so, as I must balance the responsibility of wife and mother.
My journey thus far has been extremely demanding but very rewarding. Immediately after registration, I was advised that…. LAW IS A JEALOUS LOVER. Hearing this for the first time, and truly experiencing the demands on the course of study was very overwhelming. I however appreciate the school’s goal of preparing the mind for the drastic shift it was about to experience.
I feel quite humbled to be recognized for my success in the Contract Law exam for 2020-2021, an achievement that I was pleasantly surprised by. The success of this accomplishment could not have been possible, BUT FOR, the quality service and care I received by the management and staff of Dawill Law Academy. I must declare that Dawill was not my first choice to pursue this degree, as several colleagues referenced other institutions as being better poised to aid in my success. Nonetheless, I have absolutely no regret, as the individualized attention that I received in preparation for exams, is now being desired by recommenders.
Enrolment in Dawill Law Academy is like joining a family. All lecturers are passionate, professional, and committed to students’ success. I wish to express my gratitude to Mr. Williams, Director and main lecturer at the school and Ms. Carol, the administrator, for creating an environment that is encouraging and accommodating to individual needs. My success is a representation of your quality.
